Mariah Carey on Alan Carr!

Mariah Carey has been in the UK promoting her album, "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel". Peep her appearance on the Alan Carr Show below where she gave a brief interview and performed "I Want To Know What Love Is".

That was a great performance and a refreshing interview! It's nice to see the laid back side of Mariah.

J'Lo preps 'Love?', 'Louboutins' leaks!

Jennifer Lopez is getting ready to return to the music scene with her new album, "Love?" which will hit stores on 25 January. The album is preceded by the first single, "Louboutins" which was produced and written by Tricky Stewart and The-Dream. Lopez will perform the track at this year's American Music Awards which take place on Sunday. Listen to the single below and let me know what you think!

How underwhelming. I was quite excited to hear new music from Jennifer but this has just erased my anticipation. "Fresh Out The Oven" while not a hit by any means, would have been a far better single choice than this. Do you think this will put her back on music's A-list?

Overlooked: MJB's 'I Am'!

I posted the latest single from Mary J. Blige's upcoming project, "Stronger With Each Tear" a while back. After listening to the track, "I Am" I'm hooked! I think I previously overlooked it because of my lack of excitement with the other two singles. Listen to the reposted track produced by Stargate and written by Johnta Austin here and let me know what you think!

Tidbit: Watch Mary perform "I Can See In Colour" here, it's a great performance!

Fresh Find: Ben's Brother!

After picking up a copy of Joss Stone's new album, "Colour Me Free" I came across a collaboration "Stalemate" with Jamie Hartman which I immediately liked. Hartman is part of Ben's Brother, a band from the UK who has just released their sophomore album, "Battling Giants". Much to my excitement, "Stalemate" was also recorded with Anastacia and is featured on the album as a bonus track. Take a listen to both versions below as well a promo from the album and let me know what you think!

1. The Element Of Freedom (Intro)

3. Doesn’t Mean Anything
4. Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart
5. Wait Til They See My Smile
6. That’s How Strong My Love Is
7. Unthinkable (
I’m Ready)
8. Love Is My Disease
9. Like The Sea
10. Put It In A Love Song
feat. Beyonce Knowles
11. This Bed
12. Distance And Time
13. How It Feels To Fly
14. Empire State Of Mind (
Part II)

Interestingly enough, Beyonce is the only feature on the album. It seems like Jay-Z won't be appearing on "Empire State of Mind (Part 2)" either. I was hoping for a John Mayer addition too, I really liked "Lesson Learned" from "As I Am" and I think they work well together because they both have an incredible understanding of music. Anyway, I'll still be picking up my copy on 15 December, will you?

Beyonce feat. Lady Gaga: Video Phone premiere!

The highly anticipated video for the eighth single, "Video Phone" off Beyonce's "I Am..." album has premiered! The track features pop star Lady Gaga and was directed by Hype Williams. Peep the clip below and let me know what you think!
Props to Hype for doing what he does best. I'm a Beyonce fan but for lack of a better word, this is WHACK! I think this track will pretty much go unnoticed. The Gaga addition does add a bit more dimension to it but it really isn't enough to save what was already a bad single choice to begin with. Again, "Radio" would've been a far better single choice in my opinion.
