Kelly grows up on new leak!

My girl, Kelly Rowland shows her mature side on the fourth track to leak from her upcoming third solo studio album. The track titled "Grown Ass Woman" was penned by Ne-Yo and produced by Stargate and is really another winner from her recent studio sessions. Again, another solid track from Rowland. I like the production, it's something a bit different to what we're accustomed to from a Stargate and Ne-Yo collaboration (see replicas "Irreplaceable", "With You", "Tatoo"). The key here are the lyrics, which of course are courtesy of Ne-Yo. I think he really did a great job in trying to capture what Kelly wanted to say and as usual presented another radio friendly track that should sit very well on her upcoming album.

Tidbit: I hope Kelly's project doesn't suffer the same fate that Toni Braxton's did with constant leaks forcing the album to be pushed back.

Ne-Yo preps "Libra Scale"!

Grammy award winning singer, songwriter and producer Ne-Yo will release his fourth studio album, "Libra Scale" later this year. The album is preceded by the single, "Beautiful Monster" which will debut this week. Granted its only a snippet of the chorus, I can't say I'm overly impressed. I really enjoyed some of the material from Ne-Yo's last album (see 'Closer') which displayed somewhat of a varied sound for him as an artist. I'll have to reserve judgement until the full song leaks, but at this stage I can't help but compare it to Beyonce's "Sweet Dreams" ('...or a beautiful nightmare, either way I...'). Mariah Carey preps "Angels' Advocate"!

Set for release on 30 March, "Angels' Advocate" will serve as an official remixes album for Mariah Carey's "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel". The album is preceded by "Angels Cry" featuring Ne-Yo and "Up Out My Face" featuring Nicki Minaj. Peep the official videos for the singles below and let me know what you think!

Both clips were directed by Carey's husband, Nick Cannon. I must admit I quite like both clips. Here's hoping that the songs start performing on the charts.

Mariah Carey Update!

While "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" has fallen off the charts, Mariah Carey still continues to promote the album recently announcing the release of not one, but two remix albums due in February. One is said to be dance orientated while the other will rely heavily on collaborations from some of today's hottest artists. The first single to be released from the collaborations album will be "Angels Cry (Remix)" which is said to feature Neyo and will be released on 4 January.

In other news, an official tour, "Angel's Advocate" has been announced. The tour is relatively short and will see Carey visiting only 19 cities. I think that's probably a great idea, her voice is no longer strong enough to support a long tour. Tidbit: What I'd do for a VIP Meet & Greet Package to the Madison Square Garden show is unthinkable!

New Music: Rihanna!

The first single from Rihanna's upcoming album, "The Wait Is Ova" has premiered. The track, "Russian Roulette" was produced and written by Ne-Yo. Listen to it below and let me know what you think!

Well there's really not much to say about this track. Rihanna has never been known for her ballads and I'm not sure this is going to change that.
