New Music: MJB - I Am!

Mary J. Blige returns to her roots with "I Am" the next single to be released from her album, "Stronger". The song was written by Johnta Austin and features production from Stargate. Listen to the track below and let me know what you think!

MJB's Stronger pushed back!

Mary J. Blige's "Stronger" has been pushed back to 22 December, a week later then its previously pushed back date of 15 December. The push back comes as Chris Brown, Alicia Keys and Lil' Wayne prepare to release their much anticipated new albums on 15 December and should see Blige with better first week sales.

Mary J's "Stronger" gets pushed back!

Mary J. Blige's new album, "Stronger" was said to be released on 24 November. The album has apparently been pushed back to 15 December. The album is said to include the songs, "The One" feat. Drake and "Stronger". I'm not surprised it was pushed back, "The One" really hasn't taken off and "Stronger" is nothing great in my opinion.

I'm hoping Blige will get back in the studio and release something solid like she usually does. I really enjoyed her last album, "Growing Pains". It is one of the few albums that I'm able to put in my CD player and listen to it from start to finish without skipping tracks (except "Til' The Morning"). I think a new lead single would be fitting as well!

MJB: Stronger on Letterman!

I really didn't enjoy this peformance. I thought Mary was off key for most of the performance and her vocals were really not up to scratch. I feel as though I was watching a Mariah performance from the "E=MC2" era. Mary battled to hit the high notes and to sustain any of the long winded ones which are featured at the end of the single. Let's hope she gets some vocal rest before the release of her new album in November!

Mary J. Blige just posted this pic of her on set for the video for the first single, "The One" featuring Drake off her upcoming album, "Stronger". The album is set to hit stores in November and will be preceeded by the singles, "The One" and the title track "Stronger". Let's hope "The One" starts making its way to #1. The Soul/HipHop Queen, Mary J Blige will release her follow up album to 2007's "Growing Pains" on 24 November. The album, tentatively titled "Stronger" is preceeded by the single "The One" featuring Canadian rapper Drake. The second single has apparently been confirmed as the title track, "Stronger".
