With Keys as a superhero, the concept is certainly interesting. I'm still not a fan of the clip, I find the split screens a bit distracting and the resurrection of the dog at 1:18 was a bit over the top. I'm also not feeling the song. I don't think this is going to chart much higher than her current single, "Doesn't Mean Anything" which has only reached #60 on the Billboard Hot 100. Maybe she'll be third time lucky.

The concept of the video sounds pretty interesting. In related news, "Doesn't Mean Anything" has really failed to make an impact on the charts currently peaking at #60 on the Billboard Hot 100. Regardless of the commercial success of the album, I'll definitely be getting my copy of "Freedom" when it hits stores, will you?

The second single from Alicia Key's upcoming album, "The Element Freedom" has hit the net. Titled, "Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart" the track is another slow jam which doesn't stray too far from her previous work and has a "Like You'll Never See Me Again" element to it. Alicia Key's forthcoming album, "The Element of Freedom" has been pushed back to 15 December. The album was originally due 1 December but as a result of a lack of hype surrounding the lead single, "Doesn't Mean Anything", they have opted to move the release back two weeks.
I think that they'll be quick to release the second single, "Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart" to see if that has a better chart performance. In related news, the album will now go up against Mary J. Blige's "Stronger". The chart battle for that week will be interesting to say the least!
It has now been confirmed that Alicia Keys will drop her 4th studio album, "The Element of Freedom" on 1 December. The album is preceded by the first single, "Doesn't Mean Anything" which impacted mainstream radio on 29 September. A second single, "Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart" has already been confirmed and will presumably be released before the album arrives in stores.
This should be another solid release from one of the most undeniably talented individuals in the industry. I'm hoping the second single is something spectacular, because to be honest I'm really not feeling "Anything". What do you think?

Keys announced that the album will be released in December and a second single, "Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart" (produced by Jeff Bhasker - see Kanye West's 808's & Heartbreak) has already been chosen.
