Janet Jackson performed at the annual Essence Music Festival for the first time ever. The queen of dance treated the audience to a 20 minute set performing some of her older hits as well as material from her latest album, "Discipline". Jackson also sat down for an interview with CNN to discuss a variety of topics including why she chose to perform this year and her upcoming projects which see Janet back on the big-screen.
